Wet Felted Canvas and Art Piece

Class Description

Create an up to 10 x 12, one-of-a-kind fiber art piece from start to finish in this hands-on wet felting workshop. We’ll begin by making our own felt “canvas” using very fun wet felting techniques. Next, you’ll design your artwork using a rich mix of unique fibers, textures, and embellishment methods. Choose from inspiring design ideas such as flowers, landscapes, sea creatures, trees, or geometric patterns—or follow your own creative vision. Along the way, you’ll learn multiple felting techniques and explore ways your finished piece can be used beyond framing, including incorporation into other fiber projects. Once you’ve completed your project, we’ll offer an extra demonstration on how to elevate your felted piece by adding detail, dimension, and definition using needle felting techniques. Your completed felt artwork can be framed at home or repurposed creatively. No prior felting experience is necessary—this class is perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike.
