Class Description

Kinusaiga 絹彩画 : A 1980’s Japanese art form that uses up your fun quilt (light fabric) scraps and utilizes elements of textile techniques with modern materials (foam board). It involves creating a fabric collages by pressing fabric scraps into cut grooves on foam board, resulting in a stained glass style quilt piece without the need for sewing. So fun and whimsical 6”x6” piece will be made to display on your wall or to stand alone. Students will use an X-Acto knife to cut into the foam and scissors to trim fabric, provided for use during the class. I will have pre-drawn templates or you can draw your own.
